So here we are at a Boulevard café on Friday afternoon as usual.
First hour passed by in a relaxed atmosphere as we chatted away about our progress and action plans for the up coming week. We will be writing up a script for our film and even making our own logo T-shirts! Please keep in mind though, we are critical about the merchandising aspect of the Invisible Children's project -what do their T-shirts speak about the people in Uganda? How is Visible People's T-shirts going to look like? Wait and see.
Somewhere into the second hour of our meeting, a fire of inspiration came to us. It happened when we were checking our blog and twitter when Linda found a new follower of our twitter. They seem to have started their account the day we had an interview with Jedidiah. Is this an odd coincidence? Who are they? Linda will be blogging about this so stay with us :)
Getting a reaction from someone out there motivated all of us. What happened in the next 30 minutes was some kind of an incredible stream of actions. We decided to make a Facebook page to incorporate more social media into our project.

"We should have our own logo for the Facebook page."How can social networking sites make a difference to our project? We are first using our personal connections to inform about our project, mostly through Facebook. Who will respond? Will there be an exponential growth of "followers" and "likes"? What would they think about our project? As a social media pillar researcher for this project I am both excited and skeptical about our steps towards (digital) networking. I am simply curious. Let's see where this would take us.
"Shall we just use a screen shot of our blog?"
"Wait I can design it - "
"I like that!"
"How do you link this page to our blog?"
"The video is taking forever to upload!"
"Why don't you copy this link and... here we go. Done!"
"Now we have everything linked up - Twitter, Facebook and our blog."
Our brand new Facebook page
